Winthrop is a men's basketball team representing Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina. The team competes in the Big South Conference and has a rich history of success, having won 11 conference championships and making 11 NCAA Tournament appearances. The team is known for its fast-paced, high-scoring style of play and has produced several notable players, including Craig Bradshaw and Chris Gaynor. The team is led by head coach Pat Kelsey, who has been with the program since 2012 and has helped guide the team to multiple conference championships and NCAA Tournament appearances. Winthrop's home court is the Winthrop Coliseum, which has a seating capacity of 6,100 and provides an electric atmosphere for fans.
