Wikipedia - Benilde Blazers
The De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde Blazers are the NCAA senior varsity team of De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde.
The Blazers were formerly a member of the National Capital Region Athletic Association (NCRAA) before being admitted to the NCAA in 1998. They then went on to win their first NCAA seniors basketball title in 2000, the fastest for an expansion squad.
The other senior varsity teams may also be referred to as the Blazers. The juniors team are the Benilde–LSGH Junior Blazers (officially the Benilde–LSGH Greenies) of La Salle Green Hills, while the women's teams (volleyball and taekwondo) are the Saint Benilde Lady Blazers.
Almost all sports programs of the Blazers excel in their events, leading to the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde winning its first ever General Championship in NCAA Season 81, and again in NCAA Season 83, NCAA Season 84, NCAA Season 89, and NCAA Season 90.
Comprised of talented and dedicated athletes, the team is led by experienced coaches who instill a strong work ethic and a winning mentality in their players. With a focus on teamwork, skill development, and strategic gameplay, the Blazers consistently deliver exciting performances and impressive results in both local and national competitions.
Off the court, the St. Benilde Blazers are known for their sportsmanship, discipline, and commitment to excellence. They are respected not only for their athletic abilities, but also for their academic achievements and contributions to the community.
Whether they are competing in intense games or engaging in community service projects, the St. Benilde Blazers embody the values of teamwork, integrity, and passion that define their school and inspire their fans.
