The Claremont Mudd Scripps Stags are a Division III American football team representing the Claremont Colleges Consortium in Claremont, California. The team is composed of student-athletes from Claremont McKenna College, Harvey Mudd College, and Scripps College. The Stags compete in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) and have a long-standing rivalry with the Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens, their cross-town rivals. The team is known for its strong academic focus, with many players pursuing degrees in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields. The Stags have a rich history of success on the field, with multiple conference championships and playoff appearances. The team is led by head coach Kyle Sweeney, who has been with the program since 2013. The Stags play their home games at Zinda Field, a state-of-the-art facility that features a synthetic turf field and seating for over 2,000 spectators.
