Benedict College is a historically black college located in Columbia, South Carolina. The Benedict College football team, known as the Tigers, competes in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) at the NCAA Division II level. The team has a rich history, dating back to the early 1900s, and has produced several notable players who have gone on to play professionally. The Tigers play their home games at Charlie W. Johnson Stadium, which has a seating capacity of 10,000. The team is known for its strong defense and hard-hitting style of play, and is a perennial contender in the SIAC.
