Västerås IK (Västerås Ishockey klubb) is a professional ice hockey club from Västerås, Sweden. The team is currently playing in the second-tier league in Sweden, HockeyAllsvenskan. Västerås IK played 12 seasons in the top Swedish league Elitserien (1988–89 to 1999–00) before the club went bankrupt and merged with the junior club (Västerås IK Ungdom), which changed name to VIK Västerås HK in 2005. In 2018, after playing a year in tier three, Hockeyettan, the club changed it name back to the old name Västerås IK.

Västerås IK was founded in 1913 and started playing ice hockey in 1939. The ice hockey section of Västerås IK was later separated and was active until 2000, when the club folded and the A team was moved to the club Västerås IK Ungdom (English: junior), which changed to its current name in 2018.

VIK Västerås HK is a professional ice hockey team based in Västerås, Sweden. The team was founded in 1913 and has a rich history in Swedish ice hockey. They play their home games at ABB Arena Nord, which has a capacity of 7,650 spectators.

The team's colors are blue and white, and their logo features a Viking helmet with crossed hockey sticks. VIK Västerås HK has a strong fan base and is known for their passionate supporters who create a lively atmosphere at their home games.

The team has had success in both the Swedish Hockey League (SHL) and the second-tier league, HockeyAllsvenskan. They have won the Swedish championship three times, in 1963, 1964, and 1965, and have also won the HockeyAllsvenskan championship twice, in 2005 and 2018.

VIK Västerås HK has produced many talented players over the years, including NHL players such as Peter Forsberg, Markus Näslund, and Henrik Lundqvist. The team continues to develop young talent and compete at a high level in Swedish ice hockey.
